Rite of the Furtive Gathering (4)

Requirements: Ratkin Rank 3 (Ritemaster), Ratkin or Ratkin Totems (others)
Cost: 2 Gnosis per participant
Cast Time: 1+ minutes
Purpose: Allows Ratkin to have a completely private conversation.

Gnosis is spent before the rite begins. All individuals who this rite will effect must be present and participate in the ritual. You may not add other participants once this ritual is under way. The Ritemaster must gather all participants into a circle (or the best approximation he can make with the number of Ratkin present), then all must be seated - either on butts or knees. The Ritemaster begins: "I implore the spirits to grant this gathering our secrecy." These words must be audible to all participants but need not be loud. All participants hum for around 15 seconds, then touch hands with the participant to their right. Once all are connected, break contact and each character may put on an orange headband. For the duration of the effect of this rite the participants may not leave the space of the original circle and may not talk with any character in game who is not part of the rite. Despite the orange headbands, your characters are considered in-game and should converse in a whisper or very quiet conversation so as to not be overheard, but if anyone walks into the room they will see these players/characters as out of game. The effect of this ritual lasts 10 minutes and cannot be ended early. This ritual cannot be performed in combat and if interrupted once it begins must be started over.
