Rite of the Jackdaw (1)

| Purpose: | Makes the target unable to lie for 1 hour, except to protect the Veil, to punish them for a transgression in which they either nearly broke the Litany with their words, or spoke when it was horribly inappropriate to do so (such as during the passing of the Bone during a Moot). |
Open this punishment Rite by demanding the target stand before you and accept their punishment. Failing to do so will result in a loss of their Honor renown instead of slowing their Wisdom gain. Call out their transgression, which should be just, and condemn their actions. Say “For your transgression, you shall be the Jackdaw and be unable to hide your secrets. Honest Conversation, You may not lie, 1 hour” The target becomes affected by the power Honest Conversation for 1 Hour. This effect cannot be resisted, but the target may choose to avoid contact during this time.
