Flesh of the Firey Touch (3)

Requirements: Thaumaturgy, Rituals 3
Components: Ritual must performed within reach of a fireplace prop. 3 red ribbons.
Cost: 1 willpower, 2 agg dmg
Cast Time: 4 minutes

Create a level 3 Thaumaturgy Circle.

Sit in the center of the circle. Arrange the components around the circle, with one on each point.

Recite the following:

"The path of a magus is often alone,
My sheer power turns my heart to stone.

My friends take heed, enemies do well to remember
Touching a magus may burn you like an ember."

Pantomime pulling an ember out of the fire and eating it. Spend 1 willpower, and willingly suffer 2 aggravated damage. Tie a red ribbon around each wrist, and one as a necklace.

On a white 3x5 card, write the following:

Ritual: Flesh of the Firey Touch
Caster: (Your name)
Begin Time: (Current time and date)
Duration: 24 hours
Effect: Any time anyone touches you, or hits you with a natural weapon, you MUST call “ThornsThorns: Variable. For the duration of this power, whenever you experience the condition described at the end of the power descriptor line you may reply "Thorns: [Effect]"; the effect will be listed on the power descriptor line. You may filter the incoming strike, but may not resist or immune out of the effect in order to use the Thorns call., 1 Fire”. Unlike Counter, this does NOT resist the strike. You may not use this power offensively, by bumping into other people, they must intentionally touch you.

This power can and must be used even when the caster is unconscious.

Writing the 3x5 card is part of casting the ritual, and it should not be made in advance. Carry the 3x5 with you while the ritual is in effect. This ritual will end immediately if all three ribbons are removed. Any attempt by someone other than the caster to remove a ribbon is considered an intentional touch (and thus will get the Fire call, above).

The caster may not remove any ribbons, unless they remove all of them.
