Rite of the Winter Wolf (3)

Requirements: 2 Werewolves, one of which wishes to die due to an inability to perform his duties.
Components: A small melee weapon (representing a blade) tagged as silver - Klaives are acceptable, a clean white cloth.
Cost: 1 Gnosis
Cast Time: approximately 5 minutes
May contribute to: Honor, Obligation (and Posthumous Honor, Obligation)
Purpose: Allows a Garou who is old, infirm, unable to be redeemed, or sick and unable to be cured to commit suicide so they need not "suffer your people to tend your sickness"

This ritual can be performed on yourself or another character.

“We Garou are proud. We do not take the death of one of our kind lightly, and we do not tolerate the cowardly act of suicide. What I am [to help you with/doing] today is not suicide. It is the end to a long battle, one which was destined to take [your/my] life. [You are/I am] simply seeing it through to its final conclusion.” Take up the small melee weapon and ‘clean the blade’ with the cloth, if helping another then hand the weapon to them. “This pure weapon will take [your/my] life, but not [your/my] honor. [ I] walk beyond sight, and drive this directly through the heart, never to rise again.” The wolf should walk slowly and with purpose to a location away from any other wolves. They should breathe deeply and turn the weapon so the tip is touching their chest, make the Death Blow call and immediately take all of their health as damage. The target should fall to the ground. The target need not wait out your death timer, instead immediately place on an orange headband and report to ST camp. Notify them of the ritual, if you were not the ritualist, ask them to join you so that they may state whether they wish to convey posthumous Honor/Obligation. Any weapons used during the ritual should be left behind, even if they fell on the target’s body during the death blow.
