The Stone of Scorn (3)

Requirements:	A minimum of 2 shifters of the same type. One to perform the Rite, the other to be the target of the punishment.
Components:	One stone large enough to fit a Renown tag to with a spirit of Sorrow bound to it (Rite of Binding or Rite of the Fetish).
Cost:	No Cost
Cast Time:	1-3 minutes
May contribute to:	Wisdom, Cunning, Cleverness, loss of any Renown to target
Purpose:	To destroy one of a target’s Renown tags as punishment for something particularly heinous.

This Ritual should typically be performed with many shifters present, but may be performed in private if necessary or if the character doing the punishment would prefer. Call out: “[Target]! Stand before me and face your punishment.” The target should move to face the ritualist directly. From this point on in the ritual, arguing with, attacking, or frenzying on the Ritualist is an immediate loss of Wisdom/Cunning/Cleverness or Honor/Obligation, or if the target does not have these, the nearest appropriate Renown is lost instead. Describe the sins for which the target is being punished.

Raise the stone with the spirit bound within and out of game instruct the target’s player to hand over the renown tag you wish to revoke. Attach the tag to the stone, then say “This stone deserves [Renown type] more than you do.”

Pass the stone to everyone present except the character being punished. Encourage the others to insult the target when they hold the stone. Once it returns to you, rip the Renown tag, then drop the stone on the ground. Tell the target, “You may go.”
