Who are the Stargazer

The Stargazers are loners by nature, they are the calmest and most introverted of the Garou, as well as the smallest of the remaining tribes. Their shrinking numbers and power, a result of the destruction of their homelands by the Wyrm, caused a number of changes to the tribe, most importantly in their alliances.

The Stargazer View of The Litany

The litany is important to us, but as we move away from the Nation, so we change our values and start to embrace The Mandates

  • Garou shall not mate with other garou
  • Combat the Wyrm Wherever it Dwells and Whenever it Breeds
  • Respect the territory of another
  • Accept an honorable surrender
  • Submit to those of a high station
  • The First share of the kill for the greatest in station
  • Never eat the flesh of man or wolf
  • Respect those beneath you, all are of Gaia
  • The veil shall not be lifted
  • Do not suffer thy people to tend thy sickness
  • You may challenge a leader during times of peace
  • You may not challenge a leader during time of war
  • Ye Shall Take No Action That Causes a Caern to Be Violated

The Stargazer Totem

Chimera is the favored totem of the Stargazers along with the rest of Chimera's brood.

Typical Stargazer Rite of Passage

When a cub is adopted into the Stargazers the first thing his teachers instruct him to do is to rely on himself first and foremost. Part of this learning process involves severing oneself from material things that one might rely on.

Stargazers and the Triat

A Stargazer must know his parentage. At the beginning, before the birth of all tangible and intangible things, three forces struggled for dominance. We must know what they are, how they can help us, how they hurt Gaia, and how we must return them to balance. For these three monarchs have forgotten how to share, and we must teach them again how to become one, not three, and free the Emerald Mother from their anger. The Wyld is Nature, strange, beautiful, screaming, insane, and serene. Weaver is reality, a labyrinth of logic at the center of our mind,, without we have no tribe, no name and would only be cast off into a sea of shapeless chaos. Wyrm was once balance but now is darkness. As Stargazers, we are Garou, and as Garou, we seek to end the Wyrm's pain. But this is not so.easy a task, and not one simply defined, It doesn't involve merely destroying it. Cutting it out only makes it grow, like the heads of a hydra lopped off. No, we ourselves must become what it once was. Weare Balance. We have assumed the role. We must moderate all the forces, now, we are the equaling hands.

How the Stargazer view of Metis

It is a simple fact : Metis are born. It is the parents whos should feel shame for not have enough restraint and self control. The shame should never be carried over to the cub they are still Garou.

How the Stargazer view other Tribes

  • The Black Furies: Why all woman? All the world is a dichotomy of two or more thing. Yin, Yang. Black, White. Good, Evil. Men, Women. The circle is completed that way. One without the other only makes a half, and a half isn't worth a damn in the coming days
  • The Bone Gnawers: Always trust those on the lowest rung of theladder. They've lost everything,or in the case of the Bone Gnawers, willingly sacrificed. They have nothing left but the perfection of their own wisdom. (Well, and sometimes a bad smell and a batch of fleas , but such is the price .of knowledge
  • The Children of Gaia: their heart is very much in the right place. I've heard other Garou talk about this tribe, and they speak so dismissively, like they're some flock: doves and hippies that; doesn't understand the “real deal”. I've seen Gaians who fight with .greater tenacity and ability than just about any other
  • The Fianna:They know much love, but they know much hate, as well. This surely isn't the Middle Way.But I've never found. them to be good allies nor good friends. They're too free, too loose. And they're about as focused as a hand grenade
  • The Get of Fenris: I met a Get one time and I told him I was a Stargazer, so we fought...He put up a good fight...After that he deferred to me and I taught him some good centering meditation tricks. Sometimes the stars move in strange orbits...
  • Iron Riders: They have such a reliance upon technology , I can only wonder how long it’ll be before they're corrected. The Glass Walkers are on a path far stranger than ours, it seems
  • The Red Talons: They have a terrible imbalance in their souls and there is a hate that crawls through their blood like few have ever seen. Still, this tribe deserves nothing but respect and admiration. They’re still alive. They still do their duty. Some are even reasonable to deal with
  • The Shadow Lords: They feel they have a right to rule and yet, they are always treatedsecond, like.the younger .of two brothers. Unfortunately , this reputation has ruined it for those Shadow Lords who are bound to duty and honor, who are capable of going off to battle know they need to offer their lives to Gaia
  • The Silent Striders: I don't know what else to say about them. Maybe they should be more rooted, more focused? Maybe they should try to integrate themselves better in the Garou Nation (which is advice we Stargazers soundly rejected). Whatever their problems, I'll stand by this tribe.
  • The Silver Fangs: “The good man doesn't grieve that others do not recognize his merits. His only anxiety is lest he should fail to recognize theirs. “That's the Silver Fangs, in my mind
  • The Uktena: Some say the Uktena are too close to the Wyrm, but I've never found one that is. As bizarre as they are, they are mystics and magicians like this world has never seen. I've seen them deny themselves and engage in such asceticism that would make the Dalai Lama feel shame. They're powerful. And unfortunately dwindling
  • The Wendigo: Wendigo need to master their Rage as many of us have. We use it as a carving knife, they use it as a hammer. Not to mention their totem is the titular cannibal spirit...it is a little too close to the Wyrm incarnation Eater-of-Souls?
